Pleasantdale Park

Pleasantdale Park subdivision is well-named! It's a charming and delightful place to live. This is a walkable neighborhood (tree-lined sidewalks) not far from Tate Park (west) or east across Tecumseh-Clinton Rd. to Clinton Public Schools and the Smith-Kimball Community Center. The north boundary is the main block of downtown, including restaurants, the Clinton Theater (where residents vote weekly on which movies they want to see next), and the new Clinton Arts Center (which is off-the-charts cool and features a premiere restaurant, art classes for all ages, incredible art exhibits, and more). The community unites behind local school activities (Friday night lights at Wegner Stadium and a late dinner after are a fun tradition), church events (particularly community dinners), and the Clinton Fall Festival, one of Michigan's most famous festivals! The Village of Clinton, and especially the Pleasantdale Park neighborhood, are lifestyle choices. Life here can be wonderful for people of all ages.

HISTORY: Pleasantdale Park was originally platted as Clark's Addition in the Village of Clinton, Michigan Territory, May 26 1836. (Michigan became the 26th state on January 26, 1837.) There are ten recorded plats (additions, amendments, etc.). Much of the housing is typical of the early 1900s into the late 1930s. In October 1945 the (then) Village Common Council approved a new plat expanding the neighborhood.

Boundary streets are: W. Michigan Ave. (north), Tecumseh-Clinton Rd. (east), (Ella M.) Bartlett Rd. (south) and River St. (west).                                                         Interior streets are:
