Market Memo – May 2020 Data

Wednesday, June 3, 2020

TWG’s Lenawee County Monthly Market Statistics from April to May 2020 indicate that properties in the 12 school districts are better than holding their value. In fact, sold prices rose in the last 30 days on average across Lenawee County by $36,791.00. This is good news for home sellers!

In the last 30 days, 75 more sellers listed their homes than the previous month. Even as Lenawee Realtors were released with COVID-19 protocols on Thursday, May 7th, more sellers wanted to enter the market in placing their homes in the MLS.

And, the cool thing is that the average listing price of sold homes in May across Lenawee County rose by $37,548.00.

Because of everything associated with this pandemic, there were less closings over the previous month…. actually 24 less homes sold. And, not surprising is that the days on market rose from 67 to 75.

These numbers indicate that the Real Estate Biz is back and back in style!

If you are thinking of entering the market to purchase a home, let TWG help you! Interest rates are unbelievably low!
